What are Pinchos (Pintxos)? If you have eaten tapas, you will realize that Spanish pinchos or pintxos are similar. They are basically a tapa over a slice of bread, originally from northern Spain. Pintxo means ‘spike’ or ‘skewer’, so essentially the food is spiked with a cocktail stick or skewer to hold it in place differentiating it from tapas.
